YOUTH PROGRAMS
Youth Programming
YWCA of the Upper Lowlands Youth Development program’s mission is to build the strength of the community by empowering youth to maximize their personal and educational potential. We provide comprehensive and innovative college and career preparation and diversity and leadership workshops for at-risk youth, giving them a unique opportunity for an accomplished future.
Our program challenges youth to become independent thinkers advocating for their own success while building their self-esteem, social competence and employability skills.
The programming includes the following services:
Crisis intervention and safety planning
Art, Music, and Play therapy
Intensive Case Management
Advocacy with school enrollment
After-school tutoring
Nurturing and parenting education
- Girls Circle (Tween/Teen Support Group)
- Boys Council (Coming Soon)
Referrals to Therapists and Child Advocacy Centers when applicable
All Youth Programs provided are provided at no cost. Youth Programming is open anyone regardless of race, gender, age, nationality, origin, gender identity or expression, faith, sexual orientation, disability and ethnicity.
